Save the Seals

Canada is the largest contributor to the slaughter of thousands of seals per year. Sealers primarily target baby seals who are barely a few months old, especially harp seals. They use weapons such as clubs and rifles and only take the skin, leaving the seal’s carcass to rot. The seal hunt hardly benefits Canada’s economy, but Canada refuses to put an end to it, even though the European Union banned seal products from being imported or sold.
